Stay-in Spa Night

A stressful night might need one of those Korean sheet faces, a bathtub full of bubbles, some scented candles, and a glass of champagne. Creating a spa vibe at home is easy and can have just as much of an effect on your state of mind as an actual night out.

What are some of your ideas for creating a spa vibe at home? The classic bubble baths, some wine, and smelly good candles always work, but we love a good skin routine! Here are some useful tips to help you create that perfect atmosphere.

First off: Prep the space. Other than the obvious (clean up any clutter!), you’ll want to try lighting incense or essential oils to set the mood or filling up bowls with fresh flowers for ambiance. If you are in the dorms there are essential oil steamers — similar to a bath bomb in creating that special space with just the use of water.

Next, play music - not having music playing is a real faux pas if you want to create a spa vibe. You can find many zen-ful and free YouTube videos of spa-themed music.

Finally, invest in some good products at the beginning of your spritz-a-thon. While you’re at it, don’t be afraid to splurge for expensive items - a good product is often worth the money.

Some of the BGF favorites? Lush bath bombs, Label Me Eclectic facial oils, and any citrus or woody candle found at TJ Maxx.

And that’s it! You’re all set to host your very own home spa night. No need to head out when you have all of the ingredients for a great time right here in your apartment. I hope that you guys had fun with this article, don’t forget to comment with any of your home spa ideas!
